How do you design an
interview? What questions do you ask to figure out if you are hiring the right
person for the job? These were some of the thoughts I had when coming up with interview
questions for the hiring process. The interview is an opportunity to get to
know an applicant in ways that can't be gleaned from a resume. So when
developing the questions I thought about what I would like the interviewer to
know about me that is not there in my resume. These included questions about
technology, 4C’s, digital learning.
This activity was greatly beneficial to me. Currently I am getting ready
to apply for jobs and this gave me a totally new perspective of how to prepare
for an interview. It made me look at an interview both through the eyes of an interviewer and as
an interviewee. It made me reflect on what are the expectations from new
teachers and how to prepare myself for an interview, how to showcase my talent
in the right way in order to get hired. Greatly appreciate the feedback
provided by the instructor.
